The ethical violations of the prosecutor, Mike Nifong, are blatant, ranging from making baseless, prejudicial statements in violation of Rule 3.8 of the North Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct, to intimidating witnesses, to withholding evidence that he was legally obligated to divulge to the defense.
Apparently, the weaker the prosecution’s case, the more a prosecutor must bend and twist the rules to hide the weaknesses of his case.
