Wow. I’m involved in a lawsuit, but my case involves specific, documented allegations of contractual violation. This is the kind of garbage that keeps me, with a case I feel is entirely fair, waiting for months just to get a hearing to see if my case can go to trial!

So, not only do school administrators need mental health credentials to “protect” students from suicides, they also need wildlife management expertise to “protect” them from rutting deer.

So, since it’s not OK to not protect the students from deer, it IS OK to SHOOT the deer to protect the students, right? Wait, why is evryone laughing? Am I being refreshingly naive again?

If the University’s is providing for the safety of the deer, while they are on University property, with rules or regulations, then I think that she is right in filing a lawsuit. The fact that she is only asking for $50,000 instead of millions, to me, is a point in her favor.

I’ll have to agree with Mr. Collins on this one. Until this university allows students to carry guns to defend themselves against an attack, and the government allows the same, the university bears a responsibility to provide appropriate safeguards on campus.

Maybe Monty Python’s holy hand grenades should be brought in. They worked on killer bunnies, after all.

There should be an “assumption of risk” category on this site. Those are always the best.
