  • Flea was not a secret identity. It was a fictional character like James Bond, or Humbert Humbert in Lolita. Both those characters acted the same as the real people upon which they were based. This case is analogous to charging Ian Fleming with a crime, using his descriptions of extra-judicial killings by his fictional character, Bond.

    That the utterances of a fictional character could be used to impeach the sworn testimony of a party is no more ridiculous than most of the other doctrines of torts.
