The story says the plaintiff claims the “dog mauled her repeatedly…”
For crying out loud, look at the picture of the dog! Mauled her?
Yeah, right.
I doubt very much that it is possible to sue a dog, a dog not being a legal person. The suit must actually be against the estate, in which case any damages would come from the estate in general, not specifically from the funds left for the care of the dog, which are presumably in trust.
If animals want rights, they will have to accept responsibilities.
