Caching glitch resolved?

After tinkering with some of the file and cache issues I should have handled more carefully during the WordPress upgrade, I may have succeeded in solving the problem reported by many users of a front page frozen at Jan. 3. It may be necessary to do a forced-refresh (SHIFT click reload page) to produce the current page. If this still doesn’t work for you, please let me know in comments or email.

  • Walter,

The page is loading fine for me, but the new look, well, it looks kind of bleached out and dull. I really liked the previous template a lot. Was it causing performance problems or did you just get bored with it? Just my $0.02.

  • I liked the previous XMark theme, and it was very deft about providing the desired three-column format, but I was never quite persuaded that its style was a good fit for the site’s content. This theme is at the other extreme as to the “light and airy” aspect, and while it’s admittedly short on color and excitement at present, I’m working on some ways to re-introduce that. Beyond that, it offers more flexibility, documentation and support behind the scenes, which should make my life easier.
