He should have refused to show up three times, then have his wife write a (notarized!) profane, abusive tirade to the court, and end up walking free with an admonishment, like this guy:

Too bad it wasn’t in Connecticut! He could claim he’s learning disabled and can’t keep track of time, then sue the court for not accommodating his disability!
