William Cunningham of Stockbridge, Ga. “spiked his children’s soup with prescription drugs and lighter fluid in a plot to get money from Campbell’s Soup in 2006. They nearly died.” [WSB Atlanta; earlier here].

This is the inevitable result of the total corruption of the Rule of Law by the Jackpot Justice Lottery.

There are undoubtedly many settlements and judgments where analogous liability fraud was never uncovered, as it was in this case.

Can the sum-bucket now sue the Trial Lawyers Association (or whatever their name is) for tempting him beyond resistance? Seems no more far-fetched than suing food-makers for making their products too tempting.
