Wow. Could this woman not have simply read the ingredient list to see that there were no actual berries in that cereal? And did she really think “crunchberries” existed?
As it happens, I was out the checkout at Safeway yesterday and the fellow behind me had a box of “Crunchberry” cereal. He was a Safeway employee and in chatting with the clerk noted the cereal was two boxes for $3.
That’s cheap. Wonder if they’re marking it down because of potential liability.
Anyway, I told him about the litigation, and he laughed incredulously. “It says ‘artificial’ right there,” he said, pointing to the box.
