Update: Tonstant Witigator Fwowed Out

After 18 years of litigation, a judge has dismissed all remaining infringement claims by “Winnie the Pooh” heirs against Disney [American Lawyer; earlier here, here, etc.]

Well at least it worked out well for all the lawyers involved…

Of course, this is only relevant because Disney purchased an extension of copyright from Congress (and we all know that’s what happened). After all these years, Pooh and his friends should properly be in the public domain.
