  • So when does the government start implanting RFID chips in everyone that counts the calories of each meal you eat and signals the restaurant not to serve you when you have exceeded your daily calorie count? Yes I know, don’t give them any ideas!

  • Do RFIDs contain lead?

  • That’s all right so long as you don’t put it into children or touch them. Which would probably get you in Dutch for abuse of one form or another.

  • Are they trying to say that the ‘Fried Pork Rinds’ I buy from the vending machine are not a healthy choice?

    I am shocked and appalled.

On a side note – I believe almost all of the items included in a vending machine individually already have the nutrition information posted on them, so isn’t this a bit redundant?

  • I have never seen a vending machine in which the nutrition was posted on the outside of the machine. Its always on the package itself, though. The upshoot of the this would be that there would be a large amount of labeling on the machine to cover all the possible products the vending company may offer, whether its in that machine or not. Who is going to read that?

  • Calorie counts on vending machines? Really???

Is there anything beyond the scope of Congressional power?

  • Wonder if we could have the calorie count–er, the dollar cost–of any bill, including resolutions, be put on the doors of the Capitol building and all members’ office doors.
