Trespasser sues railroad

She “was taking pictures on the railroad tracks in Tupelo in 2006″ and things didn’t end happily. Now her lawsuit says the train was going too fast and that the BNSF Railway Company “should have posted trespassing signs to keep people away.” People like her, that is. [AP/Jackson Clarion Ledger]

Tresspassers will be run over by trains.

I’ve been known to venture onto tracks before for photos, but usually in rural areas. I can’t see how a person can be hit unless they are being careless. Suing them is only going to make them even less friendly towards photographers.
