The books were languishing in a library anyway. Its best that they become available to the general public. Copyright was only supposed to work for so long anyway. I also object to the federal govt giving any money for this project. I don’t see the harm in google doing this.
Isn’t this being held up while SCOTUS deals with the freelance journalist case? If that gets scuttled this settlement seems like it’s going to have lots of trouble.
