Illinois candidate “wants to shutter law schools”

by Walter Olson on August 24, 2010

The idea from the Green Party candidate for state treasurer has people talking. “[Candidate Scott] Summers would board up the windows at the law schools of both Northern Illinois and Southern Illinois Universities. Did we mention Summers graduated from NIU Law?” [Legal Blog Watch]

Now if he proposed to shutter the Illinois state government, that would be a winning ticket!

I’d vote for that lunatic fringe party.

A good idea. The US doesn’t really need 70% of the world’s lawyers, does it? Not enough actual prey, they get hungry and start causing problems with stupid actions, just to eat.
