  • The spin on this story is interesting: it makes it sound like the problem is merely a new, aggressive approach to litigation, when the real problem is a combination of incompetence and fraud on the part of the bankers and others in the mortgage industry. Sure, lawyers for homeowners are taking advantage of the situation to cut their clients a better deal, but the bankers brought it on themselves.
