  • Because they want the Federal government to take over zoning (macro level, at least) so that a significant amount of the political contributions from developers will go to them, instead of the local (County, Town, Village) municipal authorities.
    This is just a power grab.

    The wrestling match over who will be lead agency for environmental reviews should be exciting.
