A letter from the La Vega Independent School District warned DaMarcus Blackwell that his son was involved in “inappropriate physical behavior interpreted as sexual contact and/or sexual harassment” after the boy hugged a teacher’s aide and “rubbed his face in the chest of (the) female employee”. This is ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous. What sexual fantasies could a 4-year-old possibly have?!
I agree this is one hundred percent ridiculous.
What I’ve noticed from stories such as these from you and Ted is that our society has lost touch with reality. Legal issues aside, do you have suggestions on how we can start reforming society as a whole? We’re so damned paranoid and afraid of offending ANYONE these days…
You gotta watch out for those four year olds. Even worse are the under 1 set. They are obsessed with breasts.
The aide in question should be cannd and not allowed in the presence of children, as she’s obviously unable to avoid thinking of children in a sexual fashion.
I’m completely serious. The problem in this case is not the child.
I agree with the comment about removing the Aide from her current position. Any person who considers a hug from a 4yo to be sexual is psychologically unfit to be working with small children. Obviously she is having sexual thoughts about children – if she weren’t, this whole ludicrous incident would never have transpired.
