    Because the activity they are suing over is protected First Amendment speech? Pretty simply, really. The chances of them succeeding at trial are zero. They’re just trying to get him to shut up.

    And, uh, extortion? The defamation claime at least makes sense (though it’s wrong), but I saw nothing in that article that would sound like extortion… A little help?
