I hope we all appreciate here that Judge Robertson is making fun of that genre of books, and the way in which they consistently suggest that anomalous, frivolous suits (the D.C. pants case, for example) are representative of the legal system as a whole.
Not knowing Judge Robertson’s views, and given that the quoted section is phrased neutrally enough, I’m going to assume he was making his point in a way that can be enjoyed equally by readers of your views, and by readers of mine.
ROTFL! I hope Judge Robertson slapped a big fine on the plaintiff for filing such a frivolous case – guess it’s harder to justify fining stupidity. The Fox “News” take on this matter would likely be equally laughable.
