I’d ask how a highway lane can be “racist”, but that question assumes that there’s some kind of logic behind calling something “racist.”
There isn’t, of course. As James Edwards notes in his book “Racism, Schmasim”, a “racist” is basically a white person or group of white people. Thus, a lane that tends to be white could, I suppose, be “racist.”
Thanksgiving dinners at my house are also pretty “racist”, by that definition.
