That’s despite the BP/Transocean spill. A danger sign of compensation fraud? [Daily Caller]
P.S. Another spill-compensation angle, with a hint of me too-ism: “Realtors Press Feinberg for BP Fund to Compensate Their Losses” [Bloomberg]

Let’s not forget the colossal fraud by our “heroic” first responders. Work at ground zero was done outdoors where the air was replaced every few minutes by natural breezes. There were many censers for toxins. There were no positive reading reported to the EPA. Somebody said they saw positive readings from a sensor, but it is murky. Recall that too many folks believe the Trade Center was taken down with explosives. Emotions easily can override rationality.
What is disturbing is that neither Hillery Clinton nor Kirsten Gillibrand could filter out the gross insane conspiracy nonsense, the avarice of some, and the self promotion of medical nuts. They did very well in school and practiced law. God have mercy on us. Congressmen Nadler and Weiner are equally stupid men.
The idea of liability is to make whole anybody adversely affected by another person’s action. The peopled hired by BP for cleanup activities who had income can’t understand that principle. They see that could have gotten roughly the same payment for working on the cleanup or sitting on their rear ends. They don’t want settlement to be reduced by payments for their cleanup activities. I’m sure Mr Feinberg will come up with something reasonable. Such is moral hazard.
A man from the gulf complained to a house committee that the picture of the gushing well branded Golf food as tainted. The man was talking to Congressman Markey, the man who was responsible for making the pictures of the gushing well public. Markey now claims to eat Gulf fish every day.
Shame on CNN for giving a voice to the opportunistic scientist. A dispersant will put some oil into solution as detergents do when we wash our clothes. But the Gulf is hugh, thousands of cubic miles. Whatever oil that has not been skimmed, recovered, or burned would be in nearly infinite dilution. These jackasses should be taken on as hucksters.
