A Wisconsin personal injury firm wants locals to send them word of icy conditions in shopping walkways and suchlike places — as part of a public service campaign, it goes without saying. [Bruce Vielmetti, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel; Warshafsky law firm Spread the Sand]

This actually makes perfect sense. They notify the owners/municipality, which can then either fix the condition or suffer liability.
Not only that, but it tips off personal injury claimants about the best places to stage their falls.
I actually saw the article and believe they are doing a great service to keep the folks in Wisconsin on their feet. A friend of mine just told me his mother had a major slip and fall injury on a icy sidewalk and it sent her to the ER. There is a great chance this could have been prevented with some sand. I have to say, I like what Warshafsky is doing!
I am from Milwaukee, and this law firm gave away free cab rides on Halloween to prevent drunk driving accidents. I was able to rest easy that night knowing my daughter and her friends were able to get home safe! Keep up the good work, Warshafsky!
