Dull masters of compliance – great phrase. It amazes me that after the astounding economic and technological triumphs that two centuries of individual liberty and capitalism have brought to America, that Americans today think that the path to prosperity in the future lies in placing cautious, dull, and risk-averse bureaucrats in charge of everything.
