The Taxi and Limousine Commission functionary ignored the volunteer driver’s protests that the vehicle was not operating unlawfully for hire but was rather being provided as a free charitable service. Notice how quickly NYC political leaders got redress for the volunteer. Hassidic Jews are known to “remember in November.”
Almost as important, did the city waive the tow/storage/impound fee? Or is the driver/charity out almost a thousand bucks?
