Prosecutor/author Vincent Bugliosi, most famous for prosecuting Charles Manson and for the true-crime book he wrote about the case afterward, “Helter Skelter,” has died at age 80. I wrote a mostly favorable review of Bugliosi’s bestselling 1996 book on the O.J. Simpson case, Outrage.

I liked Vince’s books about the Manson case and the Palmyra case. We’ve lost a good man there.
Don’t forget his masterpiece on the JFK assassination.
He seemed to believe that he could have gotten a conviction in the OJ Simpson case. The guy is terrific, but I doubt it. The jury made it plain that they hated the police.
