Then whatever happened to rail? The other alternative to “shipping”. Aren’t diesel electric locomotives as cost effective as ships? Isn’t steel rails less friction inducing than seawater? Can’t rail transport move more weight per man hour of labor than trucking? Just questions from the devil…
