Vermont and Alberta radio
On Monday I was again a guest on Laurie Morrow’s True North Radio show reaching listeners around Vermont and nearby states. And yesterday I was a guest on QR77 in Calgary, Alberta, on the afternoons with Dave Taylor, with guest host Rob Breakenridge substituting for Taylor. To book a broadcast interview on my book The Rule of Lawyers, email me directly or contact Jamie Stockton at the St. Martin’s/Griffin publicity department: 212-674-5151, ext. 502.
Fox News Channel, Neil Cavuto show
I’m slated to appear on the Fox News Channel’s “Your World” today between 4 and 5 pm, to discuss Martha Stewart, Ken Lay, class action reform, the Edwards pick, and other legal topics. Guest host will be Stuart Varney, in Neil Cavuto’s absence.
TV this afternoon and tonight
I’m scheduled to appear tonight on two shows to discuss John Edwards’ selection for the Democratic ticket: Catherine Crier Live on Court TV at 5 pm, and News Night with Aaron Brown on CNN at 10 pm.
Bay Area radio appearances
I’ll be a guest Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. PDT on Napa, Calif.’s KVON radio 1440 AM. And then on Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. PDT I’ll be joining host Lee Rodgers on his popular show on KSFO 560 AM. In both cases I’ll be discussing my book The Rule of Lawyers, which came out in paperback earlier this month (more). To book a broadcast interview on the book, email me directly or contact Jamie Stockton at the St. Martin’s/Griffin publicity department: 212-674-5151, ext. 502. (bumped 6/28)
The Rule of Lawyers on radio
I’m scheduled to be a guest tomorrow morning (Tues.) at 8 a.m. EDT on Jim Blasingame’s “Small Business Advocate” nationwide radio show (more), and then at 10 a.m. EDT on Cincinnati’s WLW. And then on Wednesday from 11 to 12 a.m. EDT I’ll be the guest of Laurie Morrow on Vermont’s “True North Radio“. In each case I’ll be discussing my book “The Rule of Lawyers”, just out in paperback from St. Martin’s/Griffin (more).
If you’re a booker for a broadcast show or other news outlet, you’re aware that it’s at times like this, with books just reaching the stores, that authors and publishers are most eager to cooperate. To ask about appearances, contact Jamie Stockton at the St. Martin’s publicity department: 212-674-5151, ext. 502, or email me directly.
While we’re at it, you just know that The Rule of Lawyers would make an ideal Father’s Day gift, and Amazon (although its stocks are low) offers special shipping guaranteed to arrive by the weekend. It’s also available from Barnes & Noble, Powell’s, and (hardcover) Laissez Faire Books.
CNBC “Kudlow & Cramer” tonight
I’m scheduled to be a guest on CNBC’s popular “Kudlow & Cramer” business talk show this evening, live from New York between 5 and 6 EDT (probably around 45 minutes after the hour). I’ll be discussing the recent $1 billion fen-phen verdict in Texas (see Apr. 28), as well as mass tort and class action litigation generally. My book “The Rule of Lawyers”, which discusses all these topics and was published by St. Martin’s last year, is available through Amazon here.
Send Overlawyered a letter, go on TV
Viewers of Catherine Crier’s show on Court TV yesterday (see yesterday’s entry) should follow these links to find out more about the stories we discussed: lawsuit over unsolicited faxes results in unsolicited faxes to clients; the perils of road courtesy; lawyers paying per click for searches on words like “mesothelioma”; Florida divorce lawyers send “Dear Prospective Client” letters to persons who don’t know yet that they’re being divorced (& see Apr. 14); and court refuses to enforce scuba diving waiver. The highlight came when Crier interviewed by telephone Overlawyered reader Rick Provost of Richmond, Va., who wrote a letter to the editor alerting us to the story after receiving an unsolicited fax advising him of his rights in the class action lawsuit.
Catherine Crier show today
I’m scheduled to appear again on Court TV’s Catherine Crier Live this afternoon (5-6 p.m. EDT, check listings for time of broadcast in other time zones), discussing more stories from this website (including stories sent in by readers on our letters page).
Catherine Crier show today
I’m scheduled to be a guest on Court TV’s Catherine Crier Live this afternoon, discussing this website. On Monday morning in Australia (Sunday afternoon in the States) I’m slated to join the Australian Broadcasting Corp. on its Radio National Breakfast show, for a discussion of personal responsibility and obesity lawsuits. And on Monday morning, 8:30 Central, I’ll be a guest on the “Dan, Doc and Dave” show on Peoria, Ill.’s WMBD.
