Radio this a.m.; Indiana on Wed.
Updated: I had been scheduled to be a guest on Laura Ingraham’s national radio show this morning, but it didn’t wind up happening. Also, I’m set to speak on Wednesday to the Federalist Society chapters in Indianapolis (breakfast) and Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington (lunch), weather permitting.
Another traffic record; Laura Ingraham radio show
With our commentary on John Edwards drawing links from all over the place, yesterday was another record day for traffic, with 12,908 unique visitors, breaking Jan. 7’s record of 10,798. We’re being forced to upgrade to a new and more expensive hosting plan, but that’s the sort of problem it’s nice to have (to send us an Amazon donation that will help defray the costs, click here).
I’m set to appear as a guest on Laura Ingraham’s national radio show to discuss Sen. Edwards, but not this morning as originally scheduled. It’ll probably be next week.
Radio tomorrow a.m.: WWBA Tampa
I’m scheduled to be a guest tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. EST on Tampa’s News Talk 1040 station, WWBA. It’s the Morning Magazine with Mark Larsen show. We’ll talk about the nation’s count of lawyers having risen to top 1 million, as referenced here (see Dec. 31).
Holiday break; Vancouver radio
I’ll be enjoying the holiday for the rest of the week, so postings will come either from Ted Frank or not at all. See you next Monday, most likely. Also, I’m scheduled to appear as a guest next Monday (Dec. 29) on the Bill Good show on Vancouver’s CKNW radio, at 11:30 a.m. Pacific time.

Yesterday at 3:15 p.m. EST I was a guest on Michael Graham’s talk show on WRVA, Richmond, Va., to discuss money laundering regulations and the latest controversy to assail radio host Rush Limbaugh (I wrote about the general subject of money laundering law in 1999 for Reason). And tomorrow morning at 8:35 a.m. CST I’ll be a guest on Oklahoma City’s WKY radio morning program.
Welcome WHRV-FM listeners
I’ll be a guest on HearSay with Cathy Lewis on Hampton Roads, Va.’s NPR affiliate today just after noon (around 12:10 p.m. EST), discussing this site and the issue of personal responsibility. You can tune in live via WHRO/WHRV’s website. Also check out our archive of personal responsibility items.
Welcome Phila., Denver, Okla., Jacksonville readers
We’re named among the weekly “Web Winners” picks of Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Reid Kanaley, who recommends us for “such class-action gems as the one in California demanding discounts for men on ‘ladies night.'” (Aug. 14). Vincent Carroll, writing in Denver’s Rocky Mountain News, predicts that the forthcoming Kobe Bryant trial is unlikely to resemble the atrocious O.J. Simpson trial, and quotes our editor on the question of jury selection and its abuse (“Spectacle of O.J. trial won’t repeat itself here”, Aug. 16).
